Dr. Norris is a specialist in cosmetic surgery and is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Dr. Norris is uniquely qualified to address complex problems affecting the architecture of the face, breasts and body. Dr. Norris’s clinical focus is in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the face ranging from correcting bone structure differences to addressing overlying soft tissue changes due to aging; cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the breast, including breast lifts and augmentation; body contouring including tummy tucks and liposuction.
A native Virginian, Dr. Norris is an extensively trained plastic surgeon. Following his graduate medical education, Dr. Norris received formal training in general surgery, oral and maxillofacial surgery, cosmetic and reconstructive plastic surgery as well as hand and microsurgery. This broad surgical exposure has afforded him experience in operating on nearly every part of the body. His knowledge base, range and versatility have been further enhanced through a wide range of past surgical experiences through the US Navy, several overseas humanitarian missions and 5 years as assistant professor of plastic surgery at Baylor College of Medicine. His judgment and skills honed through many years of challenging surgical cases are well engrained and applied to the care of cosmetic and reconstructive surgery patients at Norris Plastic Surgery.
Dr. Norris stays abreast of current developments in the rapidly changing field of plastic surgery and regularly attends educational conferences and seminars. He is a contributor to the specialty through publications in peer-reviewed plastic surgery journals, book chapters and training of plastic surgery residents in the operating room. Additional professional activities include active memberships in numerous surgical societies, and speaking engagements at plastic surgical conferences.
